A Long Walk to Water
The 6th grade students are beginning to read the final class novel of the year. A Long Walk to Water, by Linda Sue Park, tells a non-fiction dual narrative of two different children's experiences in the African country of Sudan. As we read, we will explore juxtaposition as a literary device and discuss point of view as it pertains to each character's story.
